Welcome to my portfolio website. Here you can find a quick run down of who I am, my interests, and what I do.

My name is Brian Coit, I was born in the sunny town of Irvine in Ayrshire, on the West Coast of Scotland, near Glasgow. I work nearby as a full-time Web Developer for drivebusiness - a rapidly growing business development company.

My interests include all aspects of Design, Technology, Photography, Cars, and my biggest love has to be music - without it life would be boring!

I have a wide variety of skills, from design to technical, but I'd say the emphisis was on technical – having been interested in all aspects of technology from a very early age. When it comes to Website Design, I tend to use Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator. I'm a huge fan of tabeless designs, fully utilising CSS style sheets, using clean (X)HTML, and limiting the use of JavaScript - or atleast ensuring the website degrades gracefully without it. On a development level, I code in PHP, probably one of the most widely supported server side scripting languages there is!

So what does all this mean? It means I can take a job from start to finish, work on design aspects, and code the brains behind the operation, from shopping carts, to online reservation systems.
